Account Information

Monveo stores the financial information you voluntarily create or enter while using the app. This may include:

Monveo includes AI-powered features that help users quickly record financial activities.

  • Voice transcripts
  • Typed notes
  • File names
  • Image metadata
  • Locale
  • Time zone
  • Wallet names

This information is processed to generate transaction drafts, identify merchants, detect transaction amounts, recommend categories, extract relevant financial details, and improve the quality of AI-generated results.

Shared Spaces

If you create or join a Shared Space, Monveo stores information required to enable collaboration between members.

This may include:

  • Space names
  • Space avatars
  • Member roles
  • Invitation records
  • Invitation status
  • Display names
  • Profile photos

Members of the same Shared Space may have access to transactions, wallets, receipts, budgets, goals, reminders, and other financial information stored within that Space.

Depending on your role, you may also be able to invite, remove, or manage other members.

Receipt and Avatar Images

When you upload receipt images, payment screenshots, or profile avatars, those files may be stored:

  • Locally on your device
  • Securely in private cloud storage when cloud synchronization is enabled

Receipt images associated with Shared Spaces may also be accessible to authorized members of that Shared Space.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Monveo may collect information necessary to deliver them, including:

  • Push notification token
  • Device platform
  • App version
  • Language
  • Time zone
  • Notification preferences
  • Reminder information
  • Notification delivery records

This information is used solely to deliver reminders, recurring notifications, financial insights, and other notifications that you choose to receive.

Subscription Information

If you subscribe to Monveo Pro, we may process subscription-related information, including:

Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play.

Monveo does not collect or store your complete payment card information.

AI Processing

Monveo uses artificial intelligence to assist with receipt scanning, payment screenshot analysis, OCR extraction, voice transcription, and transaction generation.

When AI features are used, relevant information may be securely transmitted to Monveo's backend services and trusted AI providers for processing.

AI-generated results are intended to assist users and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or incorrectly categorized.

Users should review all AI-generated transactions before saving or relying on them.

Where supported, Monveo may use on-device speech recognition or OCR. However, cloud-based processing may still be required for AI-assisted transaction extraction.

Local Storage and Cloud Synchronization

Monveo supports local-only usage, allowing financial information to remain stored on your device.

If you sign in or enable cloud synchronization, your information may be securely uploaded to our cloud infrastructure to provide:

  • Multi-device synchronization

  • Account recovery

Certain online features require network connectivity regardless of storage mode, including:

How We Share Information

Monveo does not sell your personal financial information.

We only share information with trusted service providers necessary to operate the application, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, database services, cloud storage, backend functions, and synchronization.
  • Google and Apple for authentication services.
  • OpenAI or other AI providers for receipt parsing, transcription, extraction, and categorization.
  • RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play for subscription management.
  • Expo, Apple Push Notification Service, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications.
  • Infrastructure, hosting, security, analytics, and diagnostic providers.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or when necessary to:

  • Protect users.
  • Prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Enforce our Terms.
  • Protect Monveo's legal rights.
  • Respond to security incidents.

Shared Spaces

When you participate in a Shared Space, financial information stored within that Shared Space may become visible to other authorized members.

This may include:

  • Transactions
  • Wallets
  • Receipt images
  • Budgets
  • Goals
  • Reminders
  • Notes
  • Tags
  • Activity history showing who created or modified records

You are responsible for ensuring that you trust the members with whom you choose to share financial information.

Device Permissions

Depending on the features you use, Monveo may request permission to access:

  • Microphone for voice recording.
  • Speech Recognition for live transcription.
  • Camera for scanning receipts.
  • Photo Library or Files for uploading receipts, avatars, importing CSV files, or exporting data.
  • Notifications for reminders and financial insights.

You may grant or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Disabling permissions may limit certain functionality.

Data Storage and Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information.

These safeguards may include:

Information stored within Shared Spaces may remain accessible to other members until it is deleted by an authorized user or the Shared Space is permanently removed.

  • Leaving or managing Shared Spaces.

  • Removing locally stored data.
  • Requesting deletion of your account or personal information.

Please include the email address associated with your Monveo account so we can verify your identity before processing the request.

We may retain limited information where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or security purposes.

Children's Privacy

Monveo is not intended for children who are not legally permitted to use personal finance services in their jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through Monveo, please contact us so we can investigate and remove the information where appropriate.
